Tea Time Review: The Harvey @ Williamsburg Hotel

Ever since I was 17 years old and visited London, I have been a tea enthusiast. After having a two-hour tea in a garden there, I was obsessed. I loved the social event that tea could be and now find myself going to tea whenever I need to catch up with a friend.

One of my favorite tea places in New York City is The Harvey at the Williamsburg Hotel. Located just a 10 minute walk from the Bedford Ave L-Subway, this spot is a spacious quirky space to stay awhile for some great tea.

For a low $35, you get a wide array for snacks and a cute tea pot of one of about 10 flavors. Whenever I have gone, my friends and I will get different tea flavors to share around as each pot has about 4 cups worth of tea.

The food is typically as follows:

  • Finger Sandwiches: Avocado Toast, Cucumber and Cream Cheese, Smoked Salmon, and Foccacia

  • Desserts: Cupcake, Fruit Tart, Nut/Fruit Pastry

  • Scones: Plain and Flavored scones with jam and clotted cream

In addition the great food, the tea ware is also extremely adorable. They are these two in one tea pots that sit nestled in the cup. This is a great space saver for a NYC apartment, so I may have peaked at the bottom and added it to my wish list. If you want to buy one, they are from T2.

I hope you get a chance to try to the fabulous tea room. The tea room is open 12 - 6PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

XO, Alana
