Cara Mia: Pre-Broadway Bites

My friends and I love Broadway shows, but don't love the prices. We have started a tradition of meeting in Times Square to theater hop until we find rush (aka last minute) tickets available to a show. The other week, we stopped by a few theaters until settling on 2 $29 tickets to Phantom of the Opera.

Ready for a great show, we took to 9th avenue in search of dinner. After a few failed attempts to get a table and glances over a few too many overpriced menus, we saw a sign - "$5 Sangria".

Naturally, we ran in and got a table - perfectly happy to have $5 sangria regardless of what the food turned out to be.

Well, the food - and sangria - turned out to be amazing! We shared the zucchini fries to start and I ate the Fettuccine for my entree. Overall, it was flavorful with garlic, roastedr peppers and fresh shrimp.

If you are headed to a show, I would highly recommend checking out Cara Mia for affordable and tasty dinner!
